Picture: These students at Southern Illinois University said, "You aren't like those other people who come here, and that's a compliment!" In other words, we didn't yell at them. We treated them with respect. We showed them the truth and loved them at the same time. One young lady told us that our display had helped her decide not to abort her child.
Winning
Hearts…Changing Minds…and Saving Lives
Center for Bio-Ethical Reform, located in Knoxville, is involved in the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) and the Reproductive ‘Choice’ Campaign (RCC). We visit the university campuses around the country to show as many students as possible what abortion actually does to unborn children and get them to think about abortion in a broader historical context.
We always want to teach prenatal development and the reality of abortion to youth groups and school classes, but it is difficult to break through the gatekeepers of our society even of our churches. These opportunities are ways to inoculate our young people against the “culture of death” they will encounter once they enter college and the adult world of work.
We need Christians to understand that ending legalized abortion in America should be of MAJOR, not minor, concern to them as it strikes at the very Heart of God and His desire for His creation.
Ministry Update:
A young man led to Christ at Appalachian State. A baby’s life saved at Southern Illinois. A steady stream of people telling us that we had changed their minds about abortion--in North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, and Tennessee. Not bad for a year’s work. Of course, it’s God’s work; He makes it happen. We get to watch and wonder. But none of this happens unless God’s people respond to His call. That is why we are so thankful that the people at West Hills Presbyterian have responded to His call to win hearts, change minds, and save lives. Not just the lives of babies (as if that weren’t enough) but the lives of moms and dads as well.
